THE ARM GROUP LLC is looking to hire a “Tool and Die Maintenance Supervisor” for our growing client in Greater Charleston, SC

Key Responsibilities:
As a Die Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead and develop a team within a high-pressure die-casting environment. You’ll focus on driving productivity, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring employee safety while fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Team Leadership: Supervise shop employees, plan and assign daily tasks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Operational Excellence: Balance quality, productivity, cost, and safety objectives. Facilitate smooth production by removing obstacles and resolving issues promptly.
- Employee Development: Coach team members, cross-train staff, and foster a collaborative environment. Manage employee relations and address concerns professionally.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, conduct accident investigations, and promote a culture of safety.
- Efficiency Initiatives: Implement and support 7S practices and other lean manufacturing improvements.
- Shift Management: Oversee labor edits, ensure visible assignment postings, and maintain an active presence on the production floor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and 5+ years of progressive experience in die maintenance/toolmaking.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with a proven ability to lead teams and drive results.
- In-depth knowledge of die tools, and mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to resolve complex problems and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience collaborating across teams (Engineering, Quality) to solve challenges.
- Proficiency in conflict resolution and employee relations.
- Flexibility to work 2nd or 3rd shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
