Job Description:
The ARM Group is hiring a Senior Embedded Software Systems Engineer – Robotics (Tokyo, Japan) for a leading robotics client.
Full-Time | Immediate Hiring | Visa & Relocation Support | Salary: ¥10M–¥14M + Benefits
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead collaboration with robotics software teams for feature development, integration, and product releases
- Design and develop advanced embedded and mechatronic robotic systems
- Develop and optimize device drivers for sensors, actuators, and processors (Linux-based systems)
- Implement efficient intra/inter-processor communication pipelines (low memory/compute environments)
- Drive automation tools and enhance CI/CD frameworks
- Provide technical leadership, project ownership, and mentorship to junior engineers
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years in embedded systems development with leadership experience
- Strong programming in C & C++
- Hands-on expertise with microcontrollers (MCUs), microprocessors & SoC optimization
- Deep knowledge of RTOS and Linux system-level programming
- Experience with device driver development (Linux)
- Proficiency in communication protocols: I2C, SPI, CAN, RS232, RS485
- Strong debugging, interrupt-driven design, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read complex electronic schematics
- Experience with hardware tools: oscilloscopes, logic Disclaimer:

Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Knowledge of Python, Docker, CI/CD, ROS1/ROS2, micro-ROS
- Japanese language proficiency
