ARM Group is hiring a “Lead Design Engineer” for one of its clients in Hesse, Germany

Role Alignment

• The incumbent will be based out of Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany and work in close collaboration with the PACCAR R&D team.

• This is a high-impact R&D role focused on early-stage product concept development through final design execution.

• The individual must be comfortable operating in a customer-facing innovation environment.

Core Expectations

The ideal candidate will:

• Lead new product concept creation aligned with customer expectations.

• Translate functional requirements into feasible, manufacturable product designs.

• Drive concept studies focused on performance, durability, weight optimization, and product differentiation.

• Partner cross-functionally with R&D, engineering, and related functions to ensure design alignment.

• Support RFQ and value-engineering initiatives through strong technical input.

• Conduct benchmarking studies to strengthen solution development.

• Take full ownership from concept ideation through design validation (not limited to pure design execution).

Background Preference

• Casting experience is preferred due to the product landscape.

• However, strong mechanical product development professionals with end-to-end concept-to-design ownership will be considered, even without direct casting experience.
