Position: Maintenance Supervisor
Payrate: $90k – $100k
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Reliability & Uptime
- Lead daily maintenance operations across production lines (soap processing, plodding, stamping, wrapping, deodorant filling/packaging).
- Ensure maximum uptime and quick resolution of breakdowns.
- Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Drive root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring failures.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor maintenance technicians.
- Assign work orders and prioritize emergency repairs.
- Support skill development and cross-training of team members.
- Ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Partner with Production and Engineering teams to improve line performance.
- Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to GMP standards (if applicable).
- Maintain OSHA compliance and safe work practices.
- Manage documentation related to maintenance logs and audits.
Budget & Spare Parts Management
- Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement.
- Control maintenance-related expenses and vendor support.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
- 5+ years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Experience in high-speed packaging or process manufacturing.
- Strong troubleshooting skills (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic).
- Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment (basic troubleshooting level).
- Experience in FMCG, food, personal care, or chemical manufacturing preferred.
Preferred Background
- Experience in:
- Bar soap manufacturing equipment (plodders, stampers, cutters, wrappers)
- Deodorant filling or packaging lines
- Knowledge of TPM or Lean Manufacturing practices
- CMMS system experience
