The ARM Group is seeking to hire a “Maintenance Mechanic” for one of its clients located in Huntersville, NC
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 – $32.00 per hour
Shift-7 AM-3 PM (Mon-Fri)

Purpose of the Job:
Work with minimal supervision to use electrical and mechanical skills for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on production machines, equipment, and facility systems.
Essential Functions:
- Troubleshoot, evaluate and repair equipment
- Devise and improvise solutions
- Make corrections or adjustments
- Use tools and testing devices to maintain equipment
- Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on production equipment, facilities equipment, laboratory equipment and testing equipment
- Follow preventative maintenance programs
- Maintain awareness of new systems and techniques
- Follow safety procedures and prevent injuries or damage
- Complete and maintain all required reports
- Effectively communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers
Other Functions:
- Keep equipment and work area clean and organized
- Routinely check tools to keep in proper working order
- Help maintain inventory of repair parts and supplies
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 years experience performing general electrical and mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to independently and safely use all required tools and equipment
- Must be available to work overtime and/or odd hours upon request
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stretching, crawling, and squatting
- Work around machinery and moving mechanical parts
- Possible exposure to electrical shock, heat, chemicals, and noise
- Work in confined spaces and heights up to 30 feet
