We are hiring an experienced Machinist (Pipe Fitter / Fabricator) for our manufacturing client in Aurora, IL to support machining, fabrication, welding, and mechanical maintenance operations in a high-volume industrial manufacturing environment. This role requires strong hands-on experience in manual machining, pipe fitting, fabrication, welding, and plant maintenance support.

Key Responsibilities:
· Operate lathe, milling, drilling and grinding machines.
· Machine components as per drawings, tolerance and specifications.
· Perform measurement and inspection using vernier, bore gauge and micrometer.
· Set up jobs, select tools and ensure correct cutting parameters
· Perform arc welding/MIG/TIG/gas welding as per job requirement
· Support mechanical maintenance during breakdowns and shutdowns
· Maintain machines, tools and welding equipment in good condition
· Follow safety practices including hot work permits, PPE and LOTO.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in machining, pipe fitting, fabrication, and welding
- 10-15 years of experience in machine shop.
- Strong experience in manual machining (lathe & milling)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Solid understanding of industrial safety practices
