The ARM Group is hiring an Engineering Manager – Mechatronics – Tokyo, Japan for a leading robotics client.
Full-Time | Immediate Hiring | Visa & Relocation Support | Experience: 7–10 Years | Salary: ¥16M–¥18M (Up to ¥20M) + Benefits
We are hiring an Engineering Manager – Mechatronics to lead a cross-functional robotics squad delivering dependable, production-ready robotic and software systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and build high-performing teams (hiring, mentoring, performance management)
- Own end-to-end delivery: strategy → execution → production readiness
- Drive collaboration across mechanical, electrical, and software engineering.
- Ensure exacting standards in system design, testing, observability, and reliability.
- Manage stakeholder communication, risks, and continuous process improvements.
- Provide technical direction and reduce technical debt.
Requirements:
- 7–10 years’ experience with proven leadership in delivering complex engineering systems
- Strong background in mechatronics & robotic/industrial systems (AMRs, ASRS, etc.)
- Expertise in mechanical-electrical integration, manufacturing constraints & field reliability
- Experience leading cross-functional teams (≤10 engineers)
- Strong skills in architecture, system validation, and production readiness
- Ability to collaborate with supply chain & manufacturing teams.
