The ARM Group is looking for a “Distribution Associate, Inventory Control” with one of our clients in Allentown, PA.

Position: Distribution Associate, Inventory Control

Pay rate – $25/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Receiving and Operations teams with the investigation and resolution of inventory-related issues.
• Support the Cycle Counting team in investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies.
• Utilize Material Handling Equipment to support inventory control and distribution activities.
• Partner with Customer Service on RGAs and customer return-related issues.
• Process product returns and prepare products for destruction or return to stock in coordination with Quality Control and Warehouse teams.
• Partner with Quality Control to process, receive, and ship controlled-substance materials.
• Investigate customer shortages and inventory discrepancies through resolution.
• Assist Customer Service with inventory-related questions and issues.
• Support Quality Control with inventory issues related to product destruction.
• Identify and drive opportunities for process improvement throughout distribution operations.
• Generate metrics, analysis, and reporting related to key performance indicators.
• Support picking and auditing activities during End-of-Month and End-of-Quarter periods.
• Operate stand-up reach forklifts and powered pallet jacks as required.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and transactions using SAP, WMS, RF technology, and other appropriate systems.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve inventory and distribution issues.
• Support cross-functional meetings and coordinate with internal teams and external vendors as needed.
• Follow all applicable safety, quality, regulatory, and warehouse procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• High School Diploma or Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1–3 years of distribution and/or inventory control experience required.
• Experience working in a distribution center, warehouse, or inventory-control environment.
• Working knowledge of SAP inventory transactions required.
• Experience with WMS systems; Manhattan WMS preferred.
• Experience using RF scanners and RF technology.
• Previous forklift and Material Handling Equipment experience/training.
• Experience with inventory investigations, cycle counting, receiving, shipping, returns, and inventory reconciliation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally with internal teams and external suppliers by phone and email.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends when required.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or medical-device industry preferred.

Technical Skills

• Working knowledge of SAP inventory transactions.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); Manhattan preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with RF scanning technology.
• Forklift and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operation.
• Ability to perform inventory research, reconciliation, and cycle-count investigations.
• Ability to generate inventory metrics, reports, and KPI analysis.
• Understanding of warehouse and distribution processes, including receiving, picking, auditing, shipping, and returns.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a pharmaceutical, medical-device, or other regulated distribution environment.
• Knowledge of GMP compliance and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
• Experience with Manhattan WMS.
• Experience processing product returns, destruction, and return-to-stock activities.
• Experience handling or processing controlled-substance materials.
• Experience with customer shortages and inventory discrepancy investigations.
• Experience with process improvement and Lean distribution practices.
• Current MHE/forklift certification.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional activities with Customer Service, Quality Control, Operations, and external vendors.

Work Environment

This role is based in a distribution center in Allentown, PA and involves a combination of inventory-control activities, warehouse operations, system-based inventory research, and coordination with cross-functional teams. The position may require operating forklifts and other Material Handling Equipment, supporting picking and auditing activities, and working overtime or weekends during peak operational periods, including End-of-Month and End-of-Quarter activities. The employee must follow applicable GMP, safety, quality, and warehouse procedures while working around moving equipment and active distribution operations.
