THE ARM Group is looking for a Transmission Line Engineer position for one of its multinational clients in the Spring Branch, TX.

Role:
This role will involve working on a variety of high-voltage (HV) and extra-high-voltage (EHV) AC and DC transmission line projects, with opportunities to contribute to renewable energy infrastructure initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed engineering and design of overhead transmission line projects, ranging from 4kV to 500kV, from concept to construction.
- Design underground transmission line projects from 69kV to 230kV.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and assess probable costs for projects with limited initial details.
- Develop construction and material specifications, along with scope documents for tenders and contracts.
- Serve as a liaison with clients and contractors while coordinating with various disciplines and permitting agencies.
- Take on responsibilities as a Project Engineer or Project Manager as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate design experience.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of design processes based on prior experience with similar projects.
- Proficiency in PLS software suite, Sag10, AutoCAD or MicroStation, and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with applicable U.S. transmission line design codes, standards, and regulations, including NESC, CPUC, ASCE, and RUS.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs regularly.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a collaborative team environment.
- A valid driver’s license and insurability are required (no exceptions).
