The ARM Group LLC is actively hiring for a Territory Manager with one of our clients in Rome, GA
The Territory Manager in Tractor Sales is responsible for driving sales growth, developing dealer networks, and increasing market share for tractors within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will work closely with dealers, customers, and internal teams to achieve sales objectives, deliver excellent customer service, and foster brand loyalty. This role requires a solid understanding of the agricultural industry, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a strategic approach to business development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales and Business Development
- Identify, prospect, and onboard new dealers within the assigned territory.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and enhance market share.
- Conduct regular visits to dealerships, farms, and agricultural trade shows to showcase products, provide demonstrations, and address customer inquiries.
- Negotiate and close sales deals to ensure dealer and customer satisfaction while maximizing revenue.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with existing dealers and customers to drive repeat business.
2. Territory Management
- Analyze market trends, sales performance, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities within the region.
- Prepare and implement sales forecasts and territory action plans to meet objectives.
- Collaborate with dealers to provide product knowledge, training, and support, enabling them to achieve their sales goals.
- Monitor sales performance, track key metrics, and report progress to sales management.
3. Dealer Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with dealers and key customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Resolve dealer issues promptly, ensuring seamless coordination for product delivery and service support.
- Conduct customer satisfaction surveys, gather feedback, and implement strategies to enhance the overall experience.
- Organize dealer events, training sessions, and promotional activities to strengthen partnerships and boost sales.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to address dealer and customer needs effectively.
- Participate in sales meetings, product training sessions, and industry events to stay informed about market trends, sales techniques, and new product offerings.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis to support business strategies and product enhancements.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Proven track record in sales, territory management, and dealer development, preferably within the agricultural or heavy equipment industry.
- Strong understanding of the agricultural market, products, and customer needs.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office Suite.
- Other:
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate in field conditions.
- Travel Requirements: 50-75% travel within the assigned territory
