Site Manager – Pharmaceutical Process Systems

Job Description:

The ARM Group is looking to hire a Full-Time Site Manager – Pharmaceutical Process Systems for one of our leading customers in Charlotte, NC.

Location: Charlotte, NC (Preferred) | Extensive North America Travel (~50% and above if required) | Training in Slovenia (EU) (10 days)

Your Role

  • As Site Manager, you will be the client’s senior representative on customer sites, managing all on-site activities and ensuring successful project delivery.
  • You’ll work closely with a remote Project Manager, global engineering teams, and U.S. leadership. Initial training will take place at our headquarters in Slovenia, where you’ll learn the client systems in depth.
  • This is a key early hire for the client USA, offering a clear path toward future leadership as we expand our U.S. service team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize on-site work areas in collaboration with the Project Manager
  • Supervise installation, assembly, commissioning, and qualification activities
  • Perform hands-on technical work when required (particularly on smaller projects)
  • Ensure site safety, quality, budget, and schedule compliance under GMP standards
  • Troubleshoot technical, scheduling, and resource issues proactively
  • Manage communications between the client’s global teams, customer stakeholders, and U.S. leadership
  • Oversee equipment/material delivery, inspection, and storage
  • Provide client training and instruction to the client team members
  • Contribute to building the client’s service capabilities and improving processes

Required:

  • 5+ years of technical field work (mechanical, electrical, or automation), ideally in (bio)pharma GMP environments
  • 3+ years as a foreman, site supervisor, or manager in process/mechanical system installation and commissioning
  • Proven leadership skills: team organization, pressure management, coaching, and feedback
  • Strong understanding of specifications, contracts, and handling non-conformances
  • High motivation, solution-oriented mindset, and ability to work across cultures and time zones
  • Willingness to travel extensively (~80%) across North America, plus 2–3 EU trips annually
  • Residence in the Charlotte, NC area strongly preferred (for future leadership growth)
