Job Summary:
The ARM Group LLC is seeking a Full-Time – Senior Estimator for a leading client in Phoenix, AZ. This role involves producing detailed material and labor estimates for mechanical and plumbing systems, using available data, historical information, and engineering concepts when plans are not available.
#Salary Range: $101k to $134k/Annually
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed project estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and costs, using company processes and industry techniques.
- Review vendor proposals and pricing quotes for technical compliance.
- Analyze project plans and specifications to assess the scope of mechanical and plumbing systems.
- Suggest cost-effective construction methods to improve bid competitiveness.
- Ensure accurate “take-off” quantities and communicate bid information to field operations.
- Mentor junior staff and assist in continuous improvement processes.
- Manage project files and maintain an updated bid database.
- Guide project turnover and assist with negotiations, change orders, etc.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of Commercial MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Estimating experience.
- Proficient in Estimating software and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and time-management skills.
- Ability to analyze complex technical information and solve problems effectively.
Major Skills & Experience Needed:
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and sheet metal estimating practices.
- Experience in vendor selection and pricing quote review.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate across teams and with clients.
