Job Description:
The ARM Group is seeking a Full-Time Sales Engineer on behalf of our client in Butte, MT, a leader in industrial materials-processing technology. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with a strong background in capital equipment sales and technical expertise in industrial materials processing.
Annual Salary: $70k + Commission (2-5% w/NO Cap)
Responsibilities:
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for:
- Pursuing leads, qualifying prospects, and managing all aspects of the sales process for both new and existing customers.
- Generating leads through cold calls, referrals, and territory-specific marketing efforts.
- Developing and delivering product demonstrations.
- Representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, and exhibitions.
- Responding to functional and technical elements of RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
- Attending and presenting technology at trade shows and symposiums.
- Conveying customer requirements and insights on emerging applications to Product Management teams.
- Traveling throughout the U.S. sales territory to engage customers.
- Maintaining an accurate customer database using Salesforce CRM.
- Resolving customer issues promptly and professionally.
- Meeting or exceeding monthly and annual sales goals.
- Adhering to all company policies.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will:
- Be self-motivated and self-sufficient.
- Have a proven track record in capital equipment sales.
- Be knowledgeable about industrial materials-processing technology.
- Demonstrate comfort working in technical environments with a dynamic and expanding customer base.
- Possess strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate professionally in writing and verbally.
- Be organized, analytical, and adept at overcoming sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
- Be prepared for a minimum of 50% travel.
- Have at least 5 years of relevant experience in capital equipment sales.
- Hold a BS degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be a U.S. Citizen with a valid U.S. driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Be proficient in installing and demonstrating equipment at customer sites.
- Demonstrate good mechanical skills, including operating computers and mixing equipment.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic.
