Quality Assurance Specialist

Position Summary

The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist will support quality systems, drive compliance with regulatory requirements, and ensure product conformance through data-driven decision-making. This role works cross-functionally with Production, R&D, and Supply Chain to uphold VVF’s high standards for safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.


Salary: $75-$80k/Annually

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain compliance with internal SOPs, cGMP, ISO 9001, FDA, and customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Perform routine line audits, finished goods inspections, and batch record reviews.
  • Investigate non-conformances, deviations, and customer complaints; lead root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Support change control and validation efforts related to process, equipment, and raw materials.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams on process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate QA documentation, including COAs, lot traceability, and testing records.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Train production and warehouse staff on QA policies, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing, cosmetics, chemical, or food environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with quality management systems (QMS).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in personal care, soap, or chemical or pharma industry.
  • Familiarity with SAP or ERP systems.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 22716 or similar standards.
