Mechanical Engineer II (PE License Preferred)

Job Description:

  • The ARM Group LLC is hiring a PE – Mechanical Engineer II for one of our leading clients in Voorhees, NJ (Hybrid, 3 Days/Week In Office)

#Annual Salary Range: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00/Annually.

  • Position Overview:
    The Mechanical Engineer is to support the HVAC and mechanical systems design for Healthcare/Science clients.
  • This role requires experience in designing for Acute and Ambulatory Care Health Facilities, as well as Academic and Corporate Research Facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Design energy-efficient HVAC systems
  • Perform load calculations and energy modeling using tools like eQUEST, Trane Trace, and Carrier HAP
  • Review and ensure compliance with standards, codes, and project requirements
  • Use Revit and AutoCAD to design and review mechanical/HVAC drawings
  • Coordinate with architects and facility owners
  • Guide less experienced engineers
  • Conduct site surveys and provide construction support
  • Assist with proposal development and client management

Requirements:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC design for critical care/laboratory facilities
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, energy modeling, AutoCAD, and Revit
  • Familiarity with the USGBC LEED system is a plus
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred or working towards it
  • Strong communication, technical writing, and documentation skills
