ARM Group LLC is actively hiring for a Network Analyst with one of our clients in Houston, TX.
Reports to: Assistant Manager – IT
Salary: $25/hr + 10% Annual Bonus.
About the role:
This position works with a team of IT professionals to handle installations, configuring, maintaining data and voice networks including routers, switches, firewalls and access points, ensuring smooth operation, optimal performance, and robust cyber security, monitoring network activity, and implementing security measures; provide technical support for network related issues.
This individual must be a proven self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks with little supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Support LAN/WAN infrastructure and SD-WAN technologies
- Azure/AWS Networking and Systems/Environment management.
- Build/install network appliances (On-Prem & Cloud)
- Oversee network security procedures to protect against cyberattacks, illegal access, and data leaks.
- Configure and manage Cisco Meraki, ASA, FortiGate Firewall, Routers and switches, other network equipment and software.
- Active Directory & Group Policy configuration / administration
- Evaluate, configure and implement software/firmware patches, updates and configurations.
- Maintain change management documentation for all hardware and software modifications.
- Strong technical writing/documentation skills for networking infrastructure
- Support Microsoft-centric environment (2019 Server, Win10 & Win11 Desktops)
- Scripting for command line executions
- Implement and manage data backup to ensure recovery at time of failures
- Work closely with corporate IT (India) and all other technology and user groups to resolve problems in a timely fashion with 100% satisfaction. Security and Authentication systems. Understanding of MS O365 environment.
- Conduct routine hardware and software audits of all supported systems to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, procedures, and requirements. Handle other projects, duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- 24x7x365 on-call duties as required.
Candidate requirements:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNP preferred)
- 2-3 years of experience in a 24x7x365 production environment.
- BSc degree in Computer Science or related field with extensive knowledge of Cisco Security
- Extensive knowledge of FortiGate 60F and 61F series Firewalls, Cisco Meraki (MS and MX series)
- Extensive knowledge of Zebra, Cisco Enterprise WLAN Solutions.
- Extensive knowledge of access control lists (ACLs), TCP/IP, IP routing and network operating systems (Cisco IOS, Linux), VLAN, VRF, Port Security, Traffic Shaping, Priority Queuing, Class of Service (CoS), Quality of Service (QoS),
- Experience with the design, provisioning and troubleshooting of WAN/LAN technologies and data circuits (MPLS, Point-to-Point)
