The ARM Group LLC is hiring a Full-Time National Account Manager (Home Depot + Empire Today) for one of our leading customers in Atlanta, GA.

Salary: up to $130,000 Annually.

Purpose of the Job:

The National Account Manager (NAM) drives profitable sales growth by leveraging optimal production capabilities and opportunities for domestically produced laminate flooring. This role involves close collaboration with the VP of Sales on sales budgets and strategic plans, forecasting, product development, and developing and implementing an effective marketing and pricing strategy. Must have Direct Home Depot selling experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key Home Depot and Empire Today stakeholders. Address customer needs to help our organization demonstrate responsiveness. Exhibit a sense of urgency through organization, follow-up, and execution. Monitor open invoices and ensure timely payments.
  • Execute Sales Strategy: Create and implement strategic sales and plans to achieve company goals.
  • Assortment Management: Oversee product line reviews, manage existing products, and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Sourcing, Customer Service, Accounting, and Logistics.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly review sales performance to ensure products meet performance goals.
  • Training and Support: Schedule regular store visits with the team.
  • Reporting: Analyze sales data and create margin analyses for new and existing business opportunities.

In addition:

  • Responsible for meeting U.S. sales targets, forecasting, and profits for Home Depot and Empire Today
  • Engage in complex sales negotiations and deliver persuasive sales presentations.
  • Understand market complexities regarding product assortment, pricing, mix, and emerging category developments.
  • Actively manage the day-to-day business operations at National Accounts.
  • Optimize opportunities within manufacturing capabilities.
  • Lead regular sales meetings and/or training sessions.
  • Prepare and update sales forecasts, monitoring and adjusting with Demand Planning both internally and with customers.
  • Provide monthly and quarterly analyses of sales results, working with the organization to make necessary adjustments to meet budgetary goals.
  • Possess broad knowledge of products and the overall flooring industry.

Professional Experience:

  • 3-5+ years’ experience working within National Accounts (Home Depot) with a demonstrated track record of business growth or proven experience in a regional role with extensive sales training
  • Practical analytic skills and forecasting principles.
  • Strong financial acumen
  • General understanding of fashion and design and the ability to work collaboratively with a design team
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to foster cross-functional relationships.
  • Systematic problem-solving and decision-making ability.
  • Innovative competency – thinks creatively with foresight and acts strategically.
  • Global travel as needed, monthly travel to customer and factory required.

Education and Technical Skills Profile:

  • College Degree or professional experience equivalent
  • Knowledge of National Accounts (Home Depot)
  • Strong skill set in the use of Office suite (Excel) (Word)
  • Data analysis – collect, organize, and interpret data
  • Organization and creative copywriting skills
  • Experienced in utilizing various software systems for sales tracking, copy development, and editing, Microsoft 365 Suite, and project management software
  • Practical verbal and written communication skills
  • Firm understanding of sales principle
  • Team player, strong work ethic, ambitious
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and strong interpersonal skills

Environment and Behavioral Profile:

  • Must interface with others at all levels, from executive to hourly.
  • Anticipate changes—assess the situation by stepping back, identify conditions for implementing solutions, identify consequences, and assess/analyze risks.

Mobility and Physical Requirement Profile:

  • Role-based in Atlanta (Home Depot)
  • Travel up to 50% with some international travel possible
