ARM Group LLC is actively hiring for a Maintenance Mechanic with one of our clients in Barnwell, SC
Hourly Wage $27.25/hr – $31.75/hr
- PM work orders are assigned by maintenance planner prior to PM.
- Must organize parts and tools before PM in order to execute work orders quickly and efficiently.
- Must inspect and replace mechanical components including gearboxes, chains, belts, bearings, pneumatic and hydraulic components, drive assemblies, and other mechanical components.
- Must complete project work to include welding, cutting, grinding, machine installation, organizing and inventorying parts, moving machinery, and building maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Professional Experience:
- Minimum two years’ experience in manufacturing maintenance.
- Experience in repair of pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical drive systems.
Education and specialized skills profile:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills to be able to use programs for work order and parts management.
- Strong Electrical and PLC troubleshooting skills, and able to demonstrate each of those abilities.
- Strong Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Mechanical troubleshooting skills and able to demonstrate those abilities.
Environment and Behavioral profile:
- Must be able to complete tasks with little or no supervision.
- Must be able to work in environments that include high temperatures and dusty conditions.
Linguistic Profile:
- The Maintenance Department embraces the diversity of languages, but most, if not all, communication verbally and written is preferred in English to successfully complete the appropriate scope of work.
Mobility and Physical Requirement profile:
- Travel required for training.
- The schedule is normally day shift Monday through Friday. Call ins are required, as necessary.
Schedules will change based on rebuild schedules. - Be expected to stand for a full shift. Employee will be required to climb stairs, walk, squatting, kneel, or drive lift truck duties at variable frequency.
- There is occasional lifting that may require handling of components which can weigh up to 50 lbs.
- While performing the job duties of this job, the employee regularly operator HMI, communicate by talking on radio, and walk constantly throughout the shift.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and walk and talk or hear; and use hands to finger, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts in high, precarious places and occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, ambient air, temperature extremes, combustible dust fumes or airborne particles, chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
