Learning & Development Trainer

The ARM Group is actively hiring for “Learning & Development Trainer” for one of our clients in Charleston, SC

Role:

This role will focus on identifying current and future skill requirements, designing comprehensive training programs, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. You’ll play a key role in enhancing employee competencies, promoting organizational values, and helping the business achieve its objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a competency framework and create training programs aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to prepare competency descriptors and establish program goals.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements to update training plans accordingly.
  • Assess employee competencies through structured evaluations and feedback from leadership.
  • Design training content and delivery strategies, ensuring participation and engagement from employees.
  • Measure the effectiveness of training programs using recognized models and frameworks, making improvements where necessary.
  • Create self-learning initiatives and identify internal trainers to support long-term employee development.
  • Ensure training records are accurate and up-to-date for organizational review and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Learning & Development, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Excellent presentation and teaching skills, with experience delivering training onsite in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, and execute comprehensive training programs.
  • Strong time-management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence across multiple levels.
  • Professional demeanor, discretion in handling confidential information, and the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic setting.

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or MBA in a relevant discipline.
  • PHR or SHRM certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with training software.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
