THE ARM GROUP is looking for a “Lead Production Supervisor – Casting” for one of our clients in Charleston, SC.

Role Overview:
As a Lead Production Supervisor, you’ll lead a team of supervisors and shop employees in a fast-paced casting environment. This role involves planning and assigning work, optimizing production methods, and enhancing workplace conditions to ensure quality, safety, and productivity goals are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily 24-hour shift operations and set clear post-shift assignments.
- Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results across all metrics.
- Drive continuous improvements and contribute to operational excellence initiatives.
- Foster effective employee relations through coaching, development, and issue resolution.
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety policies and lead accident investigations.
- Implement cross-training programs to meet daily production requirements and job rotation schedules.
- Remove production obstacles and provide visible leadership on the floor.
- Accurately manage shift labor records and contribute to team success with a hands-on approach.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
- Proven leadership with a track record of leading teams to success.
- Previous experience in casting (gravity or HPDC) and a strong understanding of the casting process.
- Basic mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge.
- Effective communication skills with a team-oriented mindset.
- Self-motivated, driven, and eager to learn with a problem-solving attitude.
- Experience in core making or heat treatment is a plus.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering and Quality teams to address complex challenges.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work.
