Job Overview:
The Head of Video Strategy will lead the development, execution, and management of a comprehensive video strategy to enhance client brand, drive audience engagement, and achieve revenue goals. This role is critical in conceptualizing and executing high-quality video IPs, optimizing distribution, and fostering partnerships with brands and platforms to drive growth and monetization.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
Develop and execute a long-term video strategy aligned with client’s business objectives.
Set KPIs for video engagement, audience growth, and revenue targets, ensuring consistent performance tracking and optimization.
Content Creation and Management:
Oversee the conceptualization and production of innovative video IPs across entertainment, lifestyle, fashion, and other relevant verticals.
Ensure content quality aligns with client brand identity and resonates with target audiences.
Develop scalable video formats for both long-form and short-form platforms.
Team Leadership:
Build and manage a high-performing video team, including content managers, producers, editors, and designers.
Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
Distribution and Platform Strategy:
Optimize content for various platforms including YouTube, Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok, and OTT channels.
Stay updated on platform algorithms and trends, ensuring maximum visibility and engagement.
Monetization and Partnerships:
Collaborate with the sales team to secure sponsorships and brand partnerships for video IPs.
Identify and execute opportunities for video monetization, including ad revenues, memberships, and co-branded content.
Analytics and Performance Monitoring:
Leverage data analytics tools to track video performance, audience engagement, and ROI.
Use insights to refine content strategy, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
Innovation and Experimentation:
Experiment with emerging video formats and technologies, such as AR/VR or live streaming.
Identify and pilot new content opportunities to keep clients at the forefront of industry trends.
Key Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 8-10 years in video content strategy, production, or digital media, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
Skills: Proven expertise in video production, platform optimization (YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat), and audience engagement.
Analytical Mindset: Strong understanding of video analytics tools and ability to use data to inform strategy.
Creative Vision: Exceptional storytelling skills and the ability to innovate in content creation.
Team Management: Experience in building and leading cross-functional teams.
Monetization Knowledge: Track record of successfully driving revenue through video content.
Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the entertainment, lifestyle, and digital media landscape.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with high-growth digital media platforms.
Familiarity with emerging video technologies and trends.
Network of relationships within the digital content and brand partnership ecosystem.
