Electrical Engineer

Job Description

The ARM Group is currently hiring an Electrical Engineer on behalf of one of its clients located in Ferndale, MI

Candidates currently based in Michigan or open to relocating to MI are welcome to apply.

Role:

We’re seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a collaborative team focused on designing state-of-the-art K-12 and Higher Education environments across the Midwest and beyond.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex electrical systems for educational facilities
  • Contribute to early design stages through facility assessments and master planning
  • Lead the production of 2D and 3D construction documents using Revit
  • Prepare documentation and calculations for ComCheck and LEED certification
  • Collaborate with in-house architects, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality designs
  • Plan and coordinate project documentation and deliverables
  • Perform contract administration tasks such as site visits, submittal reviews, and supporting contractors

Experience:

  • Electrical power distribution system design
  • Lighting and fire alarm systems
  • Short circuit and voltage drop analysis
  • Construction observation and technical coordination

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in building electrical systems design
  • Proficient in industry tools: Revit, Visual, and Bluebeam
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team setting
