The ARM Group is currently hiring an Electrical Engineer on behalf of one of its clients located in Ferndale, MI

Role:
We’re seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a collaborative team focused on designing state-of-the-art K-12 and Higher Education environments across the Midwest and beyond.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop complex electrical systems for educational facilities
- Contribute to early design stages through facility assessments and master planning
- Lead the production of 2D and 3D construction documents using Revit
- Prepare documentation and calculations for ComCheck and LEED certification
- Collaborate with in-house architects, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality designs
- Plan and coordinate project documentation and deliverables
- Perform contract administration tasks such as site visits, submittal reviews, and supporting contractors
Experience:
- Electrical power distribution system design
- Lighting and fire alarm systems
- Short circuit and voltage drop analysis
- Construction observation and technical coordination
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- 6+ years of relevant experience in building electrical systems design
- Proficient in industry tools: Revit, Visual, and Bluebeam
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team setting
