The Arm Group LLC is seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Technician to join our team in Polk City, FL.
This opportunity is a DIRECT HIRE, FULL TIME with BENEFITS.
Salary: $30/hr
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing primarily diesel and electric air compressors, ensuring optimal performance for our rental and sales operations. Other equipment to include generators, light towers, forklifts and various other diesel and electrically powered equipment used in the abrasive blasting and painting industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel and electric air compressors and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and develop effective solutions.
- Conduct inspections and testing to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in good working conditions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in compressor technology.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in diesel or electrical technology preferred.
- Proven experience as a compressor technician or in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of diesel and electric systems, pneumatic systems, and mechanical principles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and tools.
- Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoor settings and confined spaces.
