Controls Engineer
The ARM Group is seeking to hire a “Controls Engineer” for one of its clients located in Graycourt, SC

Position Overview:
In this role, you’ll support production equipment performance and lead continuous improvement efforts to boost efficiency and reliability.
What You’ll Do:
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with PLCs and PC-based control systems.
- Optimize equipment performance through programming and system upgrades.
- Support automation networks (e.g., Ethernet, Profibus).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on controls projects.
- Provide training and technical support to maintenance personnel.
- Maintain accurate backups and documentation for systems.
Qualifications and Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- 3–4+ years of relevant experience
- Proficient in computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Advanced knowledge of engineering concepts, practices, and procedures
- Working knowledge of engineering design principles and product lines
- Familiarity with engineering change management systems
- English language proficiency (oral and written)
Preferred:
- Experience with robotic systems and programming (e.g., Fanuc, Kuka)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD tools
- Background in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) environments
- Experience with Siemens Step7, S7 High Graph, Sinumerik 840D, or Siemens Solutionline
- Automotive industry experience
- Multilingual skills in German and/or Spanish
