Chief Marketing Officer

Location – Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu)

CMO is a leadership position to improve customer relationship management and responsible for new business wins, customer acquisitions, revenue growth, and profit margins in Local OEM, other local market, International and After market, Increasing Share of Business and Wallet gain, Maintaining overall profitability (on each product and product lines and Building brand image.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Planning: Develop business plans, forecasts & budgets and monitoring the progress, ensure profitability and business growth, Develop Sales strategy, MIS, Market data & analysis, Loss making product analysis and action to fix or exit
  • New Business Development& Building the Brand: Initiate Market research & build market intelligence in growth areas (Go to Market Strategy – GTMS). Responsible for Heading negotiations with the customer and securing the new business. Promote the corporate image and capabilities, brand management, studying emerging and new potential markets.
  • Customer service & Sales: Ensure Target revenues as per Business Plan. Take initiatives to improve and maintain Schedule adherence %. Interact with customers to understand the future requirements and pass on the inputs to new concepts team. Ensure profitability through getting Compensation for raw material & Foreign exchange fluctuations, Engineering Changes, and compensation for obsolescence of products due to model changes.
  • Brand ManagementPlan and implement effective Advertising and Sales promotion schemes to attract the new customers like campaigns sales blitz, road shows. Ensure brand availability & display in the market & merchandising. Organize various marketing activities in association with distributors and workshops to promote different line items and especially during new product launches.
  • Assess company performance: Assess company performance and make recommendations for improvement. This includes reviewing, identifying risks, and making strategic decisions in terms of marketing / Business development strategies.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans/roadmap: Identify gaps marketing / business development roadmap and work with CXOs to develop plans to address them. Ensure that marketing / business development roadmap is aligned with the organization’s strategic goals. Guide team leaders / members to achieve business objectives.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS             

  • Bachelors in Engineering (Electronics / Automobile / Mechanical) and Master’s degree in business administration (MBA Sales & Mktg).
  • 18+ years of experience in Sales & Marketing, Business development
  • Strong understanding of marketing / Business development processes and methodologies.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent Customer relationship management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
