Job Description:
THE ARM Group LLC is looking to hire a Full-Time, Indirect Buyer for one of our leading Automotive Customers located in Houston, TX
Salary Range: $60K-$70K/Annually
Summary:
Seeking an experienced Indirect Buyer to manage procurement of non-production goods and services supporting manufacturing operations.
This role focuses on cost-effective sourcing, supplier management, and MRO procurement to drive plant efficiency and cost control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Execution:
- Source and purchase indirect goods (MRO, tools, facility services, etc.)
- Manage the full procure-to-pay process (PO, receipt, invoice, payment)
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements
- Supplier & Vendor Management:
- Build strong vendor relationships
- Monitor supplier performance: cost, quality, delivery
- Resolve delays, defects, or invoice issues
- Cost & Process Optimization:
- Analyze spend data and identify savings opportunities
- Work with cross-functional teams (maintenance, engineering, admin)
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies
- Inventory & SAP Management:
- Coordinate with warehouse to manage stock levels
- Track orders and vendor metrics using SAP
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years in indirect procurement (automotive or industrial preferred)
- Strong knowledge of MRO spend categories
- Skilled in vendor negotiations, contract management, and cost analysis
- Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced, seasonal environment
